Terex brands set to showcase heavyweight innovations at Hillhead 2026

Magna will display its MT400C cone crusher at Hillhead.

The Hillhead exhibition, the UK’s premier showcase for the quarrying, construction, and recycling industries, is set to return to its famous quarry venue in Buxton, England, this month (June 23 to 25), serving as a critical launchpad and proving ground for global materials processing technology.

This year’s event highlights a major consolidated presence from Terex Corporation, a global leader in specialised equipment solutions. Across diverse stands and live demonstration arenas, Terex will put the spotlight on its market-leading brands – EvoQuip, Finlay, and Magna – displaying its latest equipment lines, value-creating digital optimisation tools, and next-generation prototype developments tailored for both high-volume operators and compact applications alike.

EvoQuip

For EvoQuip, Hillhead 2026 represents a landmark 10-year milestone since the brand was officially launched at the same exhibition in 2016. Making its historic debut with the launch of the Bison 120 jaw crusher – a machine designed to simplify processing for smaller contractors – the brand has spent the last decade steadily expanding its portfolio. Today, EvoQuip stands as a global manufacturer with a diverse line-up of compact equipment spanning jaw and impact crushers, aggressive scalping screens, mobile conveyors, and shredders. These systems support small-scale materials processing across five core sectors, including building and construction, quarries, agriculture and landscaping, plant hire, and recycling.

To celebrate this 10-year milestone, the brand’s physical presence will feature an enhanced digital environment. Visitors can interact with digital portals offering deep application insights, comprehensive product data, and a historical snapshot of EvoQuip’s global footprint.

The stand will also serve as a showcase for broader fleet support mechanisms, such as Trac, a specialised multi-sensor solution engineered to boost the structural durability and performance of screening equipment. Furthermore, Terex will introduce Innex, a newly unveiled digital brand that utilises consolidated management tools and AI-driven capabilities to maximise the end-user experience.

Finlay

Occupying the adjacent stand, global manufacturer Finlay is preparing to present an extensive equipment fleet that bridges current commercial successes with tomorrow’s production standards. A central pillar of Finlay’s static display will be the first public viewing of its highly anticipated impactor range, spearheaded by the new I 130RS impact crusher (see separate article).

Finlay will command a major presence in the live quarry demonstration area.

Beyond this public debut, Finlay’s static area will display three other foundational machines. These include the versatile TC-60 stacker conveyor, the 883+ heavy-duty scalper, and the J 1280 jaw crusher, featuring an independent pre-screen, extended feeder, and specialised jack leg options.

To demonstrate structural efficiency under authentic operational loads, Finlay will also command a major presence in the live quarry demonstration area, giving aggregate producers a first-hand look at machine capabilities on real materials. Leading the live working display will be the 694 inclined screen, a high-production machine introduced in 2025. The 694 is equipped with two full-size 6.1-m by 1.53-m top and middle decks alongside a 5.55-m bottom deck to deliver efficient screening efficiency across quarrying, mining, sand, gravel, coal, woodchip, and topsoil projects. To accommodate modern environmental and operational demands, the screen features optional hybrid technology, giving fleet owners the flexibility to power the system via an external electrical source or the internal onboard engine.

Running alongside the 694 screen will be the J 1170+ jaw crusher, configuring high reduction ratios for demolition recycling or hard rock quarrying, and an exclusive preview of the C 1540+ cone crusher prototype. Running live ahead of its scheduled 2027 manufacturing release, the C 1540+ prototype features an upgraded, re-engineered cone chamber designed to elevate material processing output and ease routine serviceability.

Digital lifecycle management will also be emphasised at the stand via the T LINK telematics platform, the "Ask Finlay" interactive technical support portal, and the Innex and Trac sensor solutions.

Magna

Adding significant heavy-industrial weight at a stand nearby, Magna, the specialised Terex brand dedicated to large-scale crushing, screening, and conveying solutions, will make its official Hillhead exhibition debut this June.

To capture the attention of high-volume aggregate producers and large quarrying contractors, Magna is displaying two flagship units – the massive MT400C cone crusher and heavy-duty MT6S mobile scalping screen.

Purpose-built to deliver immense throughput, large reduction ratios, and consistent cubical product shapes, the MT400C integrates an expansive 8-cu-m capacity hopper and feeder system.

To protect the internal components and eliminate costly, unplanned downtime, the crusher is outfitted with an automated metal detection set-up paired with a dedicated purge chute. Operational refinement is further enhanced through full hydraulic closed side setting adjustment backed by continuous electronic monitoring, a direct drive layout routed through a wet clutch to optimise fuel efficiency, and a hydraulic tramp relief mechanism featuring automatic resetting capabilities. The machine is fully customisable via varied liner configurations to suit multiple aggregate applications, and includes overload protection, dust suppression systems, and Magna telemetry tracking software as standard equipment.

Sharing the exhibition space is the heavy-duty MT6S mobile scalping screen, an industrial unit engineered exclusively for high-volume processing environments. Capable of moving up to 800 tonnes of material per hour, the MT6S provides contractors with extreme flexibility, processing feed delivered directly from tracked crushers, large excavators, or wheel loaders.

The heart of this high-capacity machine is a modular screen box configuration containing an aggressive 6.1-m by 1.8-m top deck screen and a 5.5-m by 1.8-m bottom deck. To simplify maintenance and optimise screen media changes, operators can hydraulically adjust the screen angle between 14 and 18 degrees, or raise the discharge end by 600 mm. Additionally, all stockpiling conveyors feature hydraulic angle adjustments and extending head sections, which work in tandem to maximise discharge heights and expand overall on-site stockpile capacity.

According to Neil McIlwaine, Business Line Director for Magna, this UK debut follows an incredibly strong global response to the MT130J mobile jaw crusher shown at Conex Conexpo-Con/Agg held in Las Vegas, US, in March.
