Saudi Arabia's National Water Company (NWC) has announced that it has completed a range of sewer system projects in the Baljurashi governorate in Al Baha Region, at a total cost of more than SAR214 million ($56 million).
These projects are part of the company’s ongoing efforts to develop infrastructure, improve system efficiency, and enhance service quality for beneficiaries, supporting the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and programs to improve quality of life, said NWC in a statement.
It includes the construction of a tertiary wastewater treatment plant using bio-membrane technology, with a total capacity of 6,250 cu m per day as well as the construction of sewage networks with a total length of 46km, main lines with a total length of 17 km and two pumping stations.
NWC noted that the scope of the projects extended to several districts and villages in Baljurashi Governorate, including the districts of Al Salam, Al Khaleej, Al Marwa, and Al Ra’id, as well as parts of the villages of Al Talqiyah, Al Atashin, Al Aslah, Al Muhammadiyah, Al Jalhiyah, Al Shatiybah and Al Hesn in Baljurashi Governorate in Al Baha Region.
The projects contribute to expanding sanitation service coverage, improving system efficiency and reliability, and promoting environmental sustainability in the governorate.-TradeArabia News Service
