Bahrain’s Eskan Bank has received 19 bids from contractors for the second phase of construction of three community projects within Madinat Salman development, with offers ranging from BD2.31 million to BD3.38 million ($6.14 million to $8.98 million).

The tender covers the development of a central market, a supermarket and a sports facility as part of the urban development project, said Eskan in its tender notification.

The central market will include dedicated meat, fish and vegetable markets, along with small retail outlets and food and beverage businesses. The supermarket will occupy a gross built-up area of about 3,535 sq m, while the sports facility will include two football pitches and two drive-through buildings.

According to the Bahrain Tenders Board, the lowest bid of BD2.31 million was submitted by Saraya Contractors Company, while Saleh Abdulla Kameshki & Sons submitted the highest offer at BD3.37 million.-TradeArabia News Service
