Musanadah Facilities Management has appointed internationally recognised facilities management executive Richard Kiernan as its Solutions Development Director.
This appointment supports the company's strategy to expand its integrated facilities management capabilities across Saudi Arabia's rapidly evolving built environment, the company said.
With more than 35 years of international experience in corporate real estate, integrated facilities management, engineering and asset management, Kiernan will lead the continued development of Musanadah's integrated service solutions, while further expanding its energy and engineering services and total facilities management (TFM) offering. His focus will be on technology-enabled facilities management, engineering excellence and long-term asset performance.
Kiernan brings extensive executive leadership experience gained across Europe, the Middle East and international markets. Before joining Musanadah, he served as executive managing director (EMEA) at JLL, where he was responsible for 90 regional and global client accounts across 38 countries. Earlier, he was Vice President at Citi, leading real estate and property operations throughout the EMEA region. He also established Sodexo's integrated facilities management operations in Poland as IFM general manager.
In his new role, Kiernan will strengthen Musanadah's integrated facilities management solutions for Vision 2030 giga-projects, critical infrastructure, government facilities, healthcare, education, retail, energy and industrial developments. He will lead the development of intelligent maintenance strategies, strengthen engineering services and increase the use of digital technologies, asset intelligence and predictive maintenance to improve operational resilience.
A key priority will be further expanding the use IoT and artificial intelligence across client projects following the company’s successful implementation of its industry-leading CaFM system. These technologies will support centralized operational monitoring, improve building performance, optimize maintenance planning and deliver measurable operational efficiencies. Kiernan will also play a leading role in enhancing Musanadah's competitive positioning for future Vision 2030 giga-project opportunities, as well as delivering strategic asset intelligence for clients.
