Bobcat boosts materials handling line-up with its largest diesel forklifts

Bobcat 250S-9 diesel forklifts boast a high capacity, with the ability to lift a maximum of 25 tonnes at a 1,200 mm load centre.

Bobcat has launched its new DV180/250S-9 diesel forklifts, the largest machines in the company’s line-up, extending its heavy-duty material handling portfolio in the Europe, Middle East and Africa market.

The new units were unveiled at LogiMAT 2026, an international trade fair for intralogistics solutions and process management held in Stuttgart, Germany, in late March.

Purpose-built to exceed the toughest end-customer expectations, the DV180S-9 and DV250S-9 diesel forklifts deliver exceptional durability, advanced safety and superior operator comfort, making them the ultimate choice for demanding industrial environments and heavy-duty material handling applications, says the manufacturer.

“Key product features and advantages of the Bobcat DV180/250S-9 Series 9 diesel forklifts include the high capacity, with the ability to lift a maximum of 18 and 25 tonnes at a 1,200 mm load centre, respectively – which is perfect for heavy-duty, large-scale tasks,” a spokesman for Bobcat points out.

The DV180/250S-9 diesel forklifts are designed to offer high operator comfort during long workdays.

They are driven by the powerful HDI DL08V diesel engine and feature a ZF 4-WG-211, four-speed powershift transmission and a Kessler drive axle.

“The DV180S-9 stands out as one of the most compact machines in its class, with a width under 2,550 mm. This allows for easy transport without special permits, saving on logistics costs and offering more flexibility for rental companies and operators,” he states.

The advanced engineering in the DV180/250S-9 diesel forklifts ensures they are built with top-quality components and have a strong, reliable design for demanding environments. Both models deliver excellent load stability and maintain safe speeds even when fully loaded, ensuring every shift is secure. They are designed to offer high operator comfort during long workdays to improve efficiency and satisfaction, the spokesman adds.

Bobcat’s first Li-ION three-wheel forklifts

Also at LogiMat, Bobcat showcased the B18NT, a 1.8-tonne capacity model from its new BNT series. Marking Bobcat’s first line of three-wheel Li-ion forklifts, this range also includes the 1.6-tonne B16NT and 2.0-tonne B20NT. Designed for light to medium-duty applications, these models offer a cost-effective, eco-friendly solution that expands Bobcat’s electric counterbalanced line-up.

“Manoeuvrability is the key aspect in the design of these forklifts, making them ideal for use in tight environments. Despite their compact size, these forklifts boast an ergonomic design that ensures large leg room and exceptional operating comfort for the operator. Setting a new standard in confined space material handling, these forklifts provide a smooth ride and high stability in every job,” he says.

Class 3 Warehouse Equipment

Bobcat’s warehouse equipment on show included the BPR20N-7, BPM16N-7, LSM12N-7i, BSL16N-7i and BSR16N-7i models.

“The 1.6-tonne capacity BPM16N-7 pedestrian-powered pallet truck is the perfect match for all kinds of applications in and around SMEs, manufacturing and warehousing,” the spokesman explains. “The long tiller arm provides optimal, highly ergonomic operation. It requires less effort, and the operator maintains an optimal distance from the truck. Top-quality components, robust construction, a travel speed up to 6 km/h and simplified maintenance make this pallet truck a reliable partner for every task.”

The BPR20N-7 platform pallet truck has a two-tonne capacity and offers a travel speed of up to 8 km/h, ensuring this truck is built for optimal horizontal transportation over extended distances. Equipped with electric power steering (EPS), the BPR20N-7 offers ergonomic and safe operation. The suspension flip-down platform minimises body vibrations, and the sideways protective arms provide additional stability and protect the operator during turns. In walking operation mode, the platform and arms are folded compactly within the truck's outline, conserving space.

Meanwhile, the 1.6-tonne capacity BSR16N-7i platform stacker truck is designed for high efficiency and excels in storage and picking operations involving a higher travel distance. The ergonomic, suspension flip-down platform – paired with protective arms – greatly enhances operational efficiency.

“Thanks to the robust 8 mm metal skirt, strong chassis, durable mast and metal battery cover – along with premium components from leading suppliers – these models lower service costs and ensure constant readiness for professional use. The EPS system, coupled with the proportional lifting function, enables smooth and effortless stacking operations,” the spokesman adds.
