Naseej, a leading integrated real estate development and infrastructure company, has announced that it has been awarded a major contract to develop 2,467 housing units in Madinat Khalifa under the Bahrain Government Land Development Programme.

This is an important step forward for Naseej and a strong example of what public-private partnership can achieve in meeting the kingdom’s housing needs, said the developer in its LinkedIn post.

“The project builds on Naseej’s experience delivering large-scale residential communities and gives us the opportunity to contribute to Bahrain’s continued growth,” remarked its CEO Amin Alarrayed.

“I look forward to working with our partners to bring this development to life and take Naseej to its next level,” he added.

In another development, Naseej last month (October) signed up Sanad Engineering as design and engineering supervision consultant for its premium 125,000-sqm mixed-use waterfront development - Amwaj Avenue - while DG Jones will be its quantity surveying consultant.

Located strategically at the entrance of Amwaj Islands in Bahrain’s Muharraq Governorate, it provides seamless connectivity to the kingdom’s established road network, thus enhancing accessibility and convenience for residents and investors alike.

Naseej dubbed Amwaj Avenue as a thoughtfully-planned mixed-use project that combines modern living with integrated infrastructure and premium services. It boasts residential plots supported by fully developed infrastructure, ensuring readiness for immediate development.

Naseej sealed these agreements on the sidelines of the 2026 Innovation Summit in the Social Housing Sector.

Sanad Engineering is a multi-disciplinary architectural and engineering company based in the kingdom, while DG Jones is a premier consultancy in the Middle East, specialising in project cost control, project and construction management. n
