Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) has announced that it has received offers from 14 leading global consultants for a major project covering the design and supervision of water transmission pipelines and other associated works across the emirate. 

These are top names such as Dar Al Handasah Consultants; Avenir International Engineers and Consultants; CDM Smith; Consolidated Engineering Company (Khatib and Alami) and a Bilfinger unit Tebodin Middle East Company.

The bidders list also includes Abu Dhabi-based Dorsch Holding; Adnan Saffarini office, India-based STEAG Energy Services (DMCC Branch), Jouzy consulting Engineers and Meinhardt Singapore, said Dewa in its statement.

As per Dewa documents, the entire project work will be completed within a five-year period.-TradeArabia News Service
