UAE-based Ora Developers has appointed D‑Marin, a premium Greek yacht marina management company, as the marina consultant for BAYN, its flagship coastal community in Ghantoot region strategically located between Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
As per the deal, D‑Marin's work will include market analysis, feasibility studies and an assessment of the UAE’s existing marina landscape, alongside customer analysis.
This will see D‑Marin’s team share insights on regional and local demand across yacht ownership, charter activity, marina usage, tourism patterns and seasonal fluctuations.
The appointment sees D‑Marin provide technical guidance on the marina’s design, applying its regional expertise to one of the UAE’s most significant waterfront developments.
The BAYN marina forms part of a fully integrated coastal destination set along one of the Arabian Gulf’s last undeveloped coastlines, with more than 55% of its land dedicated to open space and greenery, alongside direct access to a natural lagoon and canal.
Selcuk Balci, Dubai managing director for D-Marin said: "We are committed to premium sustainable, innovative and customer-focused marina management across the UAE, and we’re delighted to have been trusted by Ora with support on its BAYN project."
A major player in the region, D‑Marin operates five marinas in the UAE, comprising Al Seef, Jaddaf Waterfront, Marasi Bay, Marsa Al Arab and Port De La Mer.
Marsa Al Arab is Dubai’s only Blue Flag‑certified marina, while Marasi Bay Marina holds Gold Anchor status, underscoring D‑Marin’s commitment to sustainability, stated Balci.
Marsa Al Arab has also achieved TYHA’s 5 Gold Anchor, Clean Marina and Superyacht Ready accreditations, further strengthening the network’s reputation for operational excellence and premium service.
"Bringing a premium yachting experience to UAE residents and visitors is our aim and we’re excited to bring our experience to the project and help nurture the growth for the region," he added.
Parvin Mansoor Al Awadhi, the head of development and design, ORA Developers, said: "BAYN is built around a clear vision for this coastline. The marina is central to that vision, and its design will reflect the same standards of quality and environmental responsibility that define every element of this masterplan. That commitment extends beyond design to delivery and the long-term resident experience."
The BAYN development will be delivered in phases across 4.8 million sq m, comprising multiple villa and apartment communities, a 204-berth marina as well as a 1.2-km-long natural beachfront.
It will also boast a five-star resort, schools, a business park, a medical centre, a sports club and leisure and wellness facilities in addition to natural lagoons and canals and retail and dining throughout.
"Ghantoot is one of the last undeveloped coastlines on the Arabian Gulf, with a natural character that places a clear responsibility on how we build thoughtfully," explained Al Awadhi.
"D-Marin brings the operational expertise and environmental stewardship that this coastline deserves. We look forward to working with them as we bring BAYN’s waterfront vision to life," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
