UAE-based Ohana Development has announced the official launch of Manchester City Yas Residences, a AED15-billion ($4.1 billion) gated waterfront community in Abu Dhabi.
The Manchester City FC’s first branded residential project globally will boast over 2,000 residential units with a mix of villas, penthouses and resorts.
Spanning 1.67 million sq m, it will offer six villa clusters dedicated to four- and five-bedroom villas and twin villas, maisonetes, waterfront penthouses, and apartments.
Located along Yas Canal, adjacent to Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, the development sits within one of the capital’s most active tourism and leisure districts. Completion is scheduled for 2029, said the developer.
The project was launched at Etihad Park in Abu Dhabi in the presence of CEO Husein Salem and COO Mustafa El Sammak as well as Ferran Soriano, CEO of City Football Group.
According to Ohana, the project, which has been designed around sport, performance and active living, integrates signature social spaces that reflect Manchester City’s brand identity.
At its core is an integrated Manchester City Academy, supported by elite training and recovery facilities aligned with the club’s approach to player development. The project is further complemented by a hotel, it stated.
A waterfront promenade along the canal brings together curated retail, dining, and lifestyle destinations. Additionally, it features purpose-built experiences such as the Match Day Terrace and the City Lounge.
A marina sports club and dedicated water sports offering provide access to kayaking, paddleboarding and sailing, while resort-style amenities, including advanced fitness facilities and infinity pools, are integrated across the community.
